KSHAR BAGH

Kshaar Bagh the royal cenotaphs,  beside the Jait Sagar Lake, is the garden of the Hada Chauhan rulers of Bundi. Within its peaceful grounds stands the finely carved chhatris (cenotaphs) built between the 17th and 19th centuries, each chhattri dedicated to the former rulers of Bundi. Shaded by ancient trees and overlooking the lake, Kshaar Bagh offers a moment of stillness and calm, an evocative reminder of Bundi’s lineage and artistic sensibility even in architecture.
